Zenith Dreamhers – Chapter III

by Chamath Gamage

The Zenith Dreamhers initiative was introduced last year as a way of bringing together a group of visionary, independent, and exemplary women from all corners of the globe that lives up to Zenith’s “Time to Reach Your Star” philosophy. The Dreamhers project was introduced alongside Zenith’s first tailored collection for women, the DEFY Midnight collection. Now, Zenith is adding four new women to the list of inspirational women that make up the Zenith Dreamhers.

Ghizlan Guenez IG: @guizlan_guenez_

“My biggest dream is to inspire young girls from my part of the world (Middle East) to reach for their

star and achieve anything they set their mind to.”

By using her style and idealistic values, the Algerian-born Ghizlan Guenez always wanted to revolutionize the world of fashion. In 2017 she achieved just that when she established the Modist. The Modist is the first Dubai-based global e-commerce platform, which offers luxury fashion for those that prefer to dress stylishly. Unfortunately, like most businesses, things took an unexpected turn in the year 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. The pandemic sadly made it impossible for the Modist to continue operating. Even though things got hard, she didn’t want to give up on her dream. Ghizlan proved that failure isn’t a setback, rather a stepping stone to achieving the end goal.

Ghizlan Guenez is currently working on launching a tech business that will re-engage The Modist community which she has built up over the last few years to expand the modest fashion market.

Christine Giampaoli Zonca IG: @christinegz

“Believing is the biggest thing in passion. If you work hard for it, you’ll get there. We all have to start

somewhere!”

Christine Giampaoli Zonca’s dream lies in racing. She has even completed a degree in motorsports technology to further her knowledge in the field. Christine started as a garage mechanic and during this time she participated in local races and rallies. During these races, she managed to grab a handful of podium prizes, proving to herself that she was more than capable of achieving her dream.

She had to find her sponsor’s as her family wasn’t interested in motorsports, which led her to eventually joining Extreme E’s Xite Energy Racing team as one of two drivers. In a predominantly masculine world of motorsports, the concept of electric motor racing immediately felt right with her. In electric racing, each team has one male and one female driver, that has to put in equal time behind the wheel.

Against the odds of making it as a professional driver with no one believing in her, Christine Giampaoli Zonca has “reached her star”. She has paved the way for other women

Emilie Brabon-Hames   IG: @emiliebrabonhames

“I think inspiration goes two ways. I draw inspiration from those around me, trusting that they, too, are inspired by our interaction in ways that are unique to them.”

An Australian entrepreneur, Emilie believes firmly that beauty is not just skin-deep, and that any transformation of one’s self begins from within. Emilie works with her passion to “reach her star” and is inspiring and pushing women to reach theirs.

Emilie is also a nutritional coach and has co-founded the Original Bootcamp which is the world’s longest-running and most respected military-inspired fitness program. As well as being a fitness coach and nutritional coach, Emilie has also written and published quite a successful book on fitness, nutrition, and motivation, called “8 Weeks to WOW”.

Melody Hsu IG: @mooshuu

“Wellness is about being active. Not just in body, but also in mind and spirit. It’s about actively

choosing to be the best version of yourself.”

Melody Hsu is a perfect example of balancing motherhood while still pursuing your dreams. Melody is not only a mother to two but also an entrepreneur and a health & wellness coach. She completed her education and then returned to Taiwan, where she set out to tackle the full experience of motherhood, while also pursuing her ambitions. Melody founded VIASWEAT which is an activewear brand that creates sustainably made pieces for women of all shapes, sizes, and lifestyles. With a positive attitude, Melody Hsu is one to never shy away from taking a risk and looking for new growth opportunities, and in doing so has “reached her star”.
