In this latest buying guide, we take a look at some of the impressive green dial timepeices in the market that redefines elegance and style!
Green dial timepieces have made quite the comeback over the past few years, becoming a bold yet sophisticated choice for collectors and enthusiasts alike. While blue and black dials are the traditional colours for watch dials, having long dominated the luxury watch market, the colour green certainly offers a refreshing alternative. It’s not all the common either, which makes green dial timepieces all the more enticing.
Green is a colour that exudes elegance, individuality and a touch of daring. From deep forest hues to vibrant emerald tones, green dials bring a unique character to any timepiece, making them perfect for those who want to stand out without being overly flashy. The colour itself is associated with nature, growth, renewal and life, and it also often represents, in some cultures, luck, money and prosperity!
The allure of green dial timepeices lies in their versatility. Sunburst greens shimmer under the light, while matte or fumé finishes provide a more understated yet powerful presence. Luxury watchmakers are all too privy of this, and having embraced this growing trend, have created some incredibly stunning green dial variations that appear across dress watches, sports models and high complications.
In this buying guide, I have chosen some of the best green-dial watches that will be sure to make an impact. Whether you’re drawn to the refined sophistication of a dress watch, the rugged appeal of a diver, or the technical brilliance of a high-complication timepiece, these watches prove that green is more than just a color—it’s a statement.

On the dial Blancpain has reproduced the lunar cycles of a traditional Chinese calendar, which also evokes the time-honoured ties between watchmaking and astronomy. Breitling
Navitimer B01 Chronograph 46
Reference: RB0137241L1P1
When it comes to Breitling, you can’t go wrong with a Navitimer. And it doesn’t get much better than this green and red gold combination. The Navitimer is a watchmaking icon, being a timepiece pilots relied on heavily upon its release, hence the multiple functions and the rather busy dial. This version of the Navitimer features black chronograph counters, which allows the sunburst green dial to really stand out. Completing the beautiful aesthetics of this timepiece is the 18k red gold case.

Bremont
Terra Nova 42.5 Chronograph Bronze
Reference: N/A
Bremont’s latest release is the Terra Nova 42.5 Chronograph in bronze, which the brand states is “the most technically advanced model in the collection, built for precision timing and rugged durability.” The case is a cupro-aluminium bronze which means that it’ll offer far higher scratch resistance compared to standard bronze, while also being hypoallergenic. The black bezel is a nice touch on this watch, which I think also contrasts well against the bronze. The final touch is Bremont’s signature dial aesthetic for their latest Terra Nova collection, which in this case features a beautiful green gradient, with the two outer gradient “lines” being black to blend in with the bezel.
Case Size: 42.5mm
Case Material: Satin and polished two-piece Cupro-Aluminium bronze case

Girard-Perregaux
Laureato 42mm
Reference: 81010-11-3153-1CM
One of my favourite models in this buying guide is Girard-Perreguax’s latest Laureato 42 creation, which is a stunning sunray green dial with the ‘Clous de Paris’ pattern. The Laureato timepiece is one of those models that never ages and is certainly not one that, as the brand states, “lost its aesthetic allure”. If anything, it keeps getting better and better with time. The ‘Clous de Paris’ pattern is one of the signature designs of this timepiece, which works exceptionally well with the colour green to make one beautiful-looking dial.

Grand Seiko
Mechanical Hi-Beat 36000
Reference: SBGH351
The Grand Seiko SBGH351 is a model that has a dial that is “more than meets the eye”. At first glance, it looks like a standard green dial; however, on closer inspection, Grand Seiko has beautifully crafted the dial to mimic lush green grassy fields. It is a dial that the brand states “dial that captures a treasured moment in the Japanese seasonal calendar. The deep green dial evokes the sights and sounds of Rikka, the seventh of Japan’s twenty-four sekki or seasons.” That’s not all there is to this timepiece. The SBGH351 is also a modern re-interpretation of the iconic Grand Seiko 62GS from 1967, the first Grand Seiko timepiece to feature automatic movement.

H.Moser & Cie.
Streamliner Centre Seconds Matrix Green
Reference: 6201-1200
H.Moser & Cie is the master when it comes to creating fumé dials, and this is evident once again through this Streamliner Centre Seconds Matrix Green timepiece. This timepiece features a number of evolutions compared to the previous gen Streamliner models, with one of them being that the H. Moser & Cie. logo is now applied with transparent lacquer, which allows it to blend into the dial and only be visible upon close inspection. This gives the dial a minimalist approach, a central design theme for H. Moser & Cie, which allows, especially in this case, the stunning Matrix Green fumé dial to take center stage. The rich gradient effect, shifting from deep green to almost black at the edges, creates a mesmerizing depth that enhances the watch’s overall elegance.

The Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Secondsevives the codes of the first Reversos born in the thirties which featured beautiful coloured dials. This timepiece features a “deeply intense green dial”, as the brand puts it, which, with its sunburst effect, plays with light beautifully to give different shades of green depending on the lighting angle.

Day-Date 40

Another green dial that dances with light is Rolex’s Day-Date 40. The Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 40 comes with a sun-ray finished olive green dial, which is nicely complemented by the pink gold hour indices. The case, bezel and bracelet are all made from 18kt pink gold, which I personally think really complements the green dial well to achieve an aesthetically attractive looking timepiece. The signature cyclops date window and day indicator add a level of sophistication to this otherwise simple yet elegant timepiece.

Seiko
Presage Cocktail Time
Reference: SRPE45
This list wouldn’t be complete without including one of Seiko’s many different green dial offerings. This particular model is more than just a simple green coloured dial. It is, in fact, reflective of Grand Seiko’s incredibly artistic dials, whereby the brand has infused a textured pattern with sunburst finishing to achieve a dial that looks good no matter the angle. This is undoubtedly the case with Seiko’s Presage Cocktail Time SRPE45. The Presage Cocktail Time collection is well known for creating arstic dials, but I feel this takes it a step further. With the textured pattern, the sunburst finish, and the stunning deep green colour that goes to a light green depending on the lighting angle to the gold hour indices and hands, Seiko has created a timepiece that is hard to take your eyes away from!

Tissot’s Le Locle collection was introduced in 2003 to commemorate the brand’s 150 years of operation. This model features a green dial with a variety of finishing techniques being applied to create an artistic-looking dial. The centre of the dial features the beautiful clous de Paris “guilloche” pattern, with this same pattern applied to the edge of the dial as well. The hour indices sit on a ring that has a matte-like finish, which also helps to break up the guilloche pattern. The elegance of the timepiece is portrayed through the Roman hour indices and the leaf-shaped hour and minute hands.

Zenith
Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar (Boutique Edition)
Reference: 03.3400.3610/40.M3200
The Zenith Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar Boutique Edition is the result of 50 years of ZENITH’s study and design of exceptional timepieces. As the name suggests, the timepiece features a triple calendar, which means that the day of the week, date, and month are all shown alongside the moon phase indication. While the dial can seem busy, it is broken up with concentric circles of white and green, allowing the wearer to easily distinguish the features of the movement, such as the 1/10th of a second chronograph timer.
