TAG Heuer in conjunction with Watch Advice hits the Sunshine State to show off this year’s novelties and showcase what’s to come from the brand.
TAG Heuer is the latest brand to head north and showcase their latest offerings, and in partnership with yours truly (Watch Advice) has shown off their novelties from both LVMH Watch Week and Watches & Wonders 2024 to keen watch lovers in Brisbane. Held at the boutique in Brisbane City and hosted by the Watch Advice team along with the TAG Heuer team, and joined by TAG Heuer Australia GM, Van Mulryan, the night was a combination of what has been and what’s to come from TAG Heuer.
This year has already been a big year for TAG Heuer. LVMH Watch Week in Miami set the tone for the year with several new Carrera pieces launched in a teal dial colour, which if you haven’t seen these in person, get along to your nearest TAG Heuer Boutique to check them out, they’re stunning in real life. This was followed closely in April with the main event for the year, Watches & Wonders, where TAG Heuer came out swinging with their high-complication Monaco Rattrapante Split Seconds Chronograph, along with a new Panda Glassbox Carrera and rose Gold Skipper to name a few.

Around 35 guests and readers of Watch Advice descended on the TAG Heuer Boutique on Tuesday night to see many of these pieces in person, along with the rest of the TAG Heuer watches on display. One benefit of holding an evening event at the boutique – there’s no shortage of watches for people to play with, and play with them they did!
Some of the stars of the night were the Carrera novelties from LVMH Watch Week, namely the teal green Carrera Dato, as well as the new rose gold Skipper and other precious metal variants. In addition, we saw quite a few of the guests making their way to the Formula 1 collection and the ever-popular Monaco pieces on display.
Across the night, guests were treated to Moët Champagne and Canapés, which went down all too well. On offer, Oysters, savoury Cannoli and other delicious treats that hit the spot. There was no shortage of these, and not many left, especially the Cannoli, a crowd favourite!

Myself and Chamath (Watch Advice Founder) had the privilege of co-hosting with TAG Heuer, and talking to all the guests on the night, it was clear that they all had a great interest and affinity for the brand. TAG Heuer is a brand that is a household name when it comes to watches, and for many people getting into the watch hobby, or just the average person who wants a nice watch to celebrate a milestone, or just to have and keep, TAG Heuer is quite often on the list. Ask anyone in the street to name a brand of luxury watch, and you can guarantee that most would name or know TAG Heuer!
Watch spotting on the night was great also. I’m often amazed at the pieces that people bring to a watch event. While at a brand event, not everyone has that brand on their wrist, which is perfectly fine as not all watches and brands appeal to everyone, and people also may not have the means to indulge in many brands either. But what is 100% evident is their love for watches, and when you spot pieces from the brand in question, in this case, TAG Heuer, there is always a story to tell, and you may also see some pieces that you won’t see at your local supermarket.

The TAG Heuer Boutqiue staff were also on hand during the night to answer questions, pull copious number of watches out of the display cabinets and help guests try them on. TAG Heuer GM, Van Mulrayn also circulated and spoke to guests, and explained like a seasoned veteran the ins and outs of TAG Heuer.
Overall it was a massively enjoyable night. All the invitees had a great time and tried on lots, and I mean LOTS of watches, and from all reports speaking to people on the night and after, they thoroughly enjoyed their time. On behalf of Watch Advice and TAG Heuer, a big thanks to all who came and made the night a success, we look forward to seeing you again soon!
