Yes, it’s that time of year again, Valentine’s Day! With the Day Of Love at the end of this week, we thought we’d pull together a list of His & Hers watches you can get and be “that” couple who likes to go matchy-matchy.
A Perfect Match may have been a corny dating game show in the 1980s, (remember Dexter the robot?), but when it comes to watches, sometimes a matching “His” and “Hers” can look great on. Others may not notice, but there is something nice about sharing your love of watches with your significant other and something you both can enjoy when out on a date. If you’re like me with kids, this may not happen very often, so why not have a pair of his & hers watches to make the evening that much more special?!
So, it got us at Watch Advice to thinking: What would be some Perfect Match(ing), or as close to matching, pairs of His and Hers watches that would be perfect for this Valentine’s Day? So we’ve assembled 10 brands with matching pairs that you and your Valentine can enjoy. And if not for Valentine’s Day, for any other special time of year…
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak
Why not start with something really special (also we’re going in alphabetical order so it makes sense) like the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak. Yes, these are not easy to get at retail, but if you can, these two pieces are a perfect way for a couple to show their love of luxury.
For this pairing, we’ve chosen the 41mm 15510 in steel for him, and the 34mm 77451 in steel with diamond bezel for her. Both of these have the Bleu Nuit, Nuage 50 “Grande Tapisserie” dial which looks stunning in person, and the diamond bezel on the ladies’ 34mm just gives it that extra bit of luxury!
MSRP: 41mm 15510 – 24,900 CHF / 34mm 77451 – 27,100 CHF.

Breitling Chronomat
Next up is Breitling, and why not select the modern-day sports watch, the Breitling Chronomat? The Chronomat is highly versatile as it’s designed to be an every day, any-situation piece, and they have a great selection for both men’s and ladies’ pieces in a range of sizes, colours and metals.
While there are plenty of different His and Hers choices in the Chronomat range, to keep it just that little more matchy, we’ve chosen the stainless steel version 40mm GMT for Him, and for Her, the 36mm Victoria Beckham, both with a deep blue dial. Both are great understated sports watches, and the Rouleaux bracelets are super comfortable to wear all day.
MSRP: 40mm GMT – A$8,690 / 36mm Victoria Beckham – A$7,990

Cartier Tank
What would a Valentine’s Day list be without Cartier? I mean, even the boxes and bags are red. Cartier is designed for a day like this, or any day really! Cartier has so many iconic and timeless designs in their watch collection, so choosing a matching pair wasn’t easy as we could have gone with any collection and it would have been perfect. But we finally settled on the Tank.
The Cartier Tank is as much an icon as any watch out there and dates back to 1917 when Louis Cartier created and gifted the Tank to General Pershing. Today, the Tank is a classic timeless design that looks great on both him and her. For Him, we have the extra large Tank Must Automatic at 41mm x 31mm, and for Her, the Small Tank Solarbeat (powered by light) in a great 29.5mm x 22mm.
MSRP: Tank Must Extra Large – A$8,150 / Tank Must Small Solarbeat – A$5,350

Hublot Spirit Of Big Bang
Hublot may not be a brand that springs straight to mind when it comes to His and Hers watches, but the Spirit of Big Bang collection has some great (almost) matching pairs. These pieces are form-fitting to the wrist thanks to the curved case design, and are for those watch lovers who want to add something a little different to the collection.
For our matching pair, we’ve chosen the Spirit of Big Bang 42mm Chronograph in titanium, using the Hublot modified Zenith El Primero movement and the more dainty 32mm Spirit of Big Bang in steel and diamonds for her. Yes, these are not “exact” pairs, but they do go so well together and look great on the wrist. We’ve seen a few ladies wearing the smaller Spirit of Big Bangs, and trust us, they look super cool on.
MSRP: 42mm Chronograph – A$35,900 / 32mm Steel Diamonds – A$24,500

IWC Portofino
IWC is famous for its Pilots Watches and these days, their pioneering materials, such as Ceratanium. But, they have a great range of more timeless pieces as well, like the Portugieser and the Portugieser’s little sister, the Portofino. The Portofino is not even 40 years old yet and is a great collection for those who want a dressier style of watch with modern clean lines mixed with vintage looks.
We’ve gone a little more dressier on this pair, and for Him, chose the IWC Portofino Automatic 40 in 18k red gold, silver dial and brown alligator strap. For Her, the Portofino Automatic 34 in the same 18k red gold case with a silver sunray dial, diamond hour pips and taupe calfskin strap. Both are super elegant and exude charm and if you wanted to make it even more of a match, you could swap the taupe strap on the 34mm for a brown alligator via IWC’s quick change system.
MSRP: Automatic 40mm – A$19,300 / Automatic 34mm – A$19,800

Rolex Datejust
What collection is complete without the staple Rolex Datejust? Ok, I’m being facetious here, but you have to admit, the classic Datejust is such a versatile watch and the great thing about Rolex is, that they have such a broad range of colours, sizes and material combinations, so there really is a piece for everyone. But what style combination is better than a Datejust on a Jubilee bracelet and white gold Fluted Bezel?!
Now, there is a massive range of dials in the smaller 31mm models for Her, and personally, I think the pink with diamonds is stunning and such a beautiful piece, but as we want to be a matching watch couple, we couldn’t go past the mint green dial in both the 41mm and 31mm on a Jubilee bracelet and white gold fluted bezel. We could have suggested the Datejust 36 for her, but the 31mm is just that little more elegant and can be dressed up and down so easily.
MSRP: Datejust 41 – A$17,600 / Datejust 31 – A$14,200

Seiko Presage
The Seiko Presage is a great all-round watch and sits nicely at an entry-level price point. When it comes to looking at a His and Hers Seiko, then there are a few collections that can do the trick, but we couldn’t go past the Cocktail Time collection due to the design, dial colours and overall value proposition.

The SRPE19J in 40.5mm & SRP841J in 33.8mm are the perfect matching pair for Him and Her this Valentine’s Day. Both are done in that stunning ice blue dial which pops in the sun and with both at under A$750, are a great value proposition for those who want the looks without the price tag.
MSRP: SRPE19J 40.5mm – A$725 / SRP841J 33.8mm – A$695

TAG Heuer Carrera Glassbox
We just had to include the TAG Heuer Carrera in this list, especially when only a couple of weeks ago for LVMH Watch Week TAG Heuer released a pair of new Glassbox Carrera’s with diamonds set under the domed crystal. Now, this was a tough one as they were both sized in a more unisex 39mm, one with a soft pink dial, the other in a deep blue. So essentially this created a great His and Her’s pair already, but you could always choose the blue dial with diamonds for her, as well as the standard 39mm blue Glassbox Carrera for him.
But we are throwing caution to the wind here as we know some of you guys like a bit of bling on your watch, so we’re sticking with the pink and blue pair. Yes, these are not colour-matched, but they are in every other way a matching pair – one designed for him, and one designed for her. But we’ll let you decide who wears what!
MSRP: Blue – A$12,950 / Pink A$12,800

Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle
Vacheron Constantin produces exceptional watches, and while the Overseas collection is one of the most sought-after due to the constant demand for sports watches, the ever-elegant Traditionnelle cannot be overlooked. When it comes to choosing a His and Hers piece, the choice was easy – The manual winding Traditionnelle in rose gold and green dial.
If you’ve seen Vacheron’s green dials in person, you know what we are talking about here, and paired with the rose gold and matching green alligator strap, this pair is simply stunning. For Him, the 38mm with small seconds is both timeless and understated, and for Her, the 33mm time only with a diamond set bezel will look amazing in that evening dress. Definitely for the couple who enjoy the finer things in life.
MSRP: 38mm – A$39,500 / 33mm – A$49,300

Zenith Defy Skyline
Last, but certainly not least (only as we’re going alphabetically) is Zenith. Zenith is making more and more waves lately, and most recently at LVMH Watch Week releasing the new Defy Skyline Chronograph Skeleton, which we recently reviewed. So, with Valentine’s Day coming up, we thought we would complete our list with the Defy Skyline in the boutique/online edition ice blue His and Hers.
![](https://www.watchadvice.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Zenith-His-and-Hers.jpg)
The ice blue dial on this pair is amazing, and in the 41mm for Him, you have the standard Defy Skyline design that came out in 2022 with the dodecagonal bezel and integrated bracelet, and for Her, a shrunken version minus the 1/10th second subdial, but with a bezel set with diamonds for a little extra luxury. If she doesn’t like the diamonds, then this version is available without them as well. Both are boutique editions and can be bought online from Zenith.com
MSRP: 41mm – A$14,300 / 36mm Diamond – A$19,100
Head to Zenith.com for more information.
So, there you have 10 pairs of His and Hers watches that are perfect for romantic date nights. Don’t forget Valentine’s Day whatever you do, otherwise, you may not live it down, and if in doubt, a pick from the above will keep you safe and get you some extra brownie points.
