The Classic Fusion Chronograph Premier League is the first mechanical chronograph ever created by Hublot for the Premier League.
Hublot loves football! Since 2006, Hublot has been the first Fine Watchmaking brand to partner up alongside the sport. Ever since then, Hublot has been present through every major competition, working alongside FIFA and UEFA for their respective competitions, whilst also being the Official Timekeeper and Official Watch of prestigious clubs such as Juventus and AFC Ajax.
Hublot is the Official Timekeeper for FIFA World Cup™ and FIFA Women’s World Cup™. The brand was present and on field for all of the games during the 2023 Women’s World Cup held between Australia and New Zealand. Since 2020, Hublot has also been the Official Timekeeper of the Premier League, one of the biggest football leagues in the world. The Premier League is broadcast to 900million homes in 189 countries and is followed by 1.66bn people who watch the league at least weekly through the media.
To commemorate Hublot being the Official Timekeeper of the Premier League, the Swiss watch brand has unveiled a brand new timepiece. Unveiled on the 8th and 9th of October, Hublot brought together its greatest ambassadors and contemporary icons of the game for a unique event as part of the Arsenal vs. Manchester City match. On this night, Hublot presented the all-new Classic Fusion Chronograph Premier League, with the timepiece having a limited run of just 100 individually numbered pieces.
The new Classic Fusion Chronograph Premier League comes in a 42mm satin-finished and polished titanium case and bezel. The dial comes in the 2023 premier league colours and design, which is why we see the diagonal lines in thunder-shape across the dial. The 3 o’clock sub-counter features the signature Premier League lion with crown, done in the same white Premier League colours, which helps to also make it stand out nicely against the purple dial. To match the purple colour theme of the dial, Hublot is offering a purple lined rubber strap for this sports timepiece.
The mechanical movement inside the Classic Fusion Chronograph Premier League is the in-house HUB1153 self-winding chronograph movement. This high-frequency movement operates at 4Hz (28,800 VpH) and gives out a decent power reserve of 42 hours. The case back does come with a sapphire crystal, however, the movement can only be partially seen as the proud emblem of the Premier League, the crowned lion, is on the centre of the glass. The individual number of the timepiece out of 100 can also be found on the bottom of the case back.
Following in the footsteps of the Big Bang e which was created for the Premier League in 2020, this first ever mechanical timepiece dedicated to the Premier League is a piece for collectors for whom passion, tradition, performance and excellence go hand in hand.
Ricardo Guadalupe, Hublot CEO, expresses his excitement for this first ever mechanical watch dedicated to the Premier League by stating “We were the first to give the Premier League its own smart watch, and now we’re the first to give it its very first Swiss Made mechanical chronograph! It’s strongly symbolic, combining the talent of a team and the precision of a chronograph: mechanical excellence, total cohesion, and perfect timing.”
The Classic Fusion Chronograph Premier League can be purchased from Hublot boutiques or from the brand’s online E-commerce. Limited to 100 models, the timepiece will be available for purchase October 2023.
