Cheval Blanc Randheli celebrates its 9th anniversary this year, and Hublot honours its continued partnership with the iconic luxury resort by introducing limited editions of the Big Bang Unico, and the Big Bang One Click watches, each in twenty-five numbered pieces.
For those not aware, Cheval Blanc is a group of luxury art-inspired resorts across the world, located in some of the most idyllic locations – From Paris to the French Alps, St. Tropez, West Indies and the Maldives. Hublot has partnered with Cheval Blanc Randheli in the Maldives, and this year brings out two limited editions, themed in Cheval Blac Randheli’s colours, to celebrate Maison’s 9th Birthday.

The Big Bang Unico Cheval Blanc Randheli and the Big Bang One Click Cheval Blanc Randheli combine Hublot’s flair for style, sophistication, and mechanical innovation in stylish timepieces that are as vibrant and elegant as the idyllic Maldivian hotel it is named after.
These watches have been designed with resort living in mind, and to be honest, they look very much the perfect watch to pair with your summer vacation!
Hublot has done a great job at incorporating Cheval Blanc’s splendid shades of taupe and Randheli’s mesmerising pop of yellow sun, and the two timepieces capture every moment of the memorable stay at the resort. Both watches feature an alligator strap in white and warm grey and a polished yellow ceramic bezel. The dials in shades of taupe reflect the colours of the warm wooden decks and elegant deco elements adorning the Maison.
The Big Bang Unico dial is dressed in a matte taupe colour, while the Big Bang One click features a sunray taupe dial set with 11 brilliant white diamonds. Whilst neither watch is gender specific, I could quite easily see myself wearing the Big Bang Unico whilst my wife sports the Big Bang One Click, sipping cocktails from a sun lounge overlooking the lagoon of the Noonu Atoll.
The watches come with an additional white lined rubber strap giving the wearer additional styling possibilities. Whilst I have not seen these pieces in person, the white strap would pair nicely with both pieces, especially tying into the white ceramic under the bezel, crown protector, and on the Big Bang Unico, the white crown itself. This, I feel, would transform each piece into a totally different-looking watch, giving both a very summer-fresh feel.
This collaboration follows the successful launch of the 2016 and 2017 Cheval Blanc Randheli special edition watches and is inspired by Hublot’s signature art of fusion, merging two worlds: luxury watchmaking and exceptional hospitality. They are a perfect souvenir for the guests of the unspoiled Noonu Atoll at Cheval Blanc Randheli, and if the watches are not enough to entice you to go, the resort very well should!
